AND THE RESULTS!

You can see where SOMEBODY stabbed it with a knife, "to make sure it was done". LOL.
Apple-cranberry-ginger pie.
TWINS! Notice the handy-dandy decorations on the pumpkin pie to cover the gruesome knife scar.
Baking in the oven.
Amazing wonderful helpers!

PIEPIEPIEPIEPIEPIE

In honor of Thanksgiving, I decided to make some pies.

Not just any old pie... my mom's AWESOME pumpkin and apple-cranberry-ginger pies.

I'm big into the holidays, so pretty much Halloween to Christmas is my favorite time of year EVER. Needless to say, I'm a big fan of Thanksgiving, what with turkey and cranberry sauce and all.

Thanksgiving is a HUGE family holiday for me. Every year the Lynn tribe converges at my aunt's house in Connecticut. REALLY disappointed that I won't be there to see everyone this year (I'll be there in spirit, though.)

I decided to sooth my soul through the catharsis of baking, and this is what resulted...
Prep work!
KRISTI IS REALLY SUPER INTENSE ABOUT CUTTING UP APPLES!
When you don't have a rolling pin, use a beer. (Not mine, I swear!)
Kristi eating more apples than she puts in the pie.
Mmmm! Baking.

Technical Support

Realized why I can't load any videos to the blog. They're all WAAAAY too big.

This is why I'm setting up a youtube account!

Well, actually, I might, depending on how much time I have/how distracted I get by other things.

Anyway, keep your eyes peeled in the future!

SAD FACE AGAIN! (for a different reason, though)

Blogger is being very unkind, and won't let me post any videos. LAME.

I guess y'all will have to make do with some more photos. Sigh...

View from Stirling Castle.
Stirling castle, where Robert the Bruce and William Wallace successfully repelled British forces.
HALLOOOO UP THERE! A giant rock/hill/thing in the middle of the Stirling bailey. Very fun to scramble over.
Bagpipes at Hootenanny, located in the fair city of Inverness. I tell you, bagpipes are no longer annoying once you hear them in Scotland.
The gang at Hootenanny, ie the best Thai restaurant/pub/music club EVER. Raina, Amanda, Liz, Colin.

Sad face...

For those of you who didn't hear, I was CHELSEA, DESTROYER OF WORLDS! this weekend. (btw for all my American friends--- that's my new indian name).

Anyway, I absolutely killed my camera about half an hour into my tour of Edinburgh, so that's why I have a lot of video from last weekend.

I rushed to replace my old camera with a brand-spanking new one, which I've decided to call Robert the Bruce in honor of its Scottish heritage.

Unfortunately, Robert's battery died on Saturday, which also explains why I have a lot of video from the weekend.

All of this is a very long introduction to my next post, which IS...

Scotland has my heart...

I mean, how can you not love the Highlands? Edinburgh is pretty awesome too...The three sisters of Glencoe. (I know, you can only see two...)
Loch Ness, early Sunday morning.
Highland cottage at Culloden battle fields.
The Hermitage of Birnam wood, situated on the river Braan.
The Forth rail bridge, as seen from South Queensferry.
